THE DECLINE & RISE OF NATURAL HISTORY – LECTURE SERIES

(Friday, March 5 @ 7 pm at The Commons at UW Friday Harbor)

Josh Tewksbury of University of Washington will talk on The Decline and Rise of Natural History. While our ancestors focused attention on the natural world around them, we are losing that intimate contact to our detriment. We spend less and less time in contact with natural systems and often lack the knowledge to make informed management decisions. Tewksbury feels very strongly about this subject and suggests that we cannot discuss possible impacts of major changes on natural systems without this knowledge. The lecture is free to the public though donations are welcomed.
